Our Story

Two people from completely different walks of life – Jarrod & Vasu, went about chasing a wild dream to build a unique cricket fan experience that has never been done before. One fine day Vasu reached out to bounce ideas with Jarrod, whose work he has admired since Jarrod’s Sehwagology series in the 2000s. We realised we have similar views on how we believe the game should be covered and got to work on developing the vision. We discovered incredibly talented individuals who shared a similar passion for the game and an appreciation for good content on our journey. 99.94 DM is the culmination of our visions and the beginning of a new adventure – for us and sports fans alike!

    Vasu is on a personal mission to build an impactful content-based organization. Vasu brings in two decades of global corporate leadership experience with top-tier Digital & IT firms (Infosys, HCL & Tech Mahindra) across the globe. Vasu built the digital media platform for a social start-up (Asia Leader Series) before discovering his true calling with 99.94 DM. Despite not making it beyond the high-school level, Cricket has forever been one of Vasu’s loves in life. Vasu’s vision for 99.94 DM emerged from decades of passionate cricket following and never-ending conversations with friends.

    Coming from a filmmaking background in Australia, Jarrod entered Cricket without any journalism or professional sports history. Within a few years, The Guardian referred to him as a “22nd-century cricket writer”, and he became ESPN’s global cricket writer. Jarrod has been a blogger, social media consultant, commentator, podcaster, author, radio host, journalist, and filmmaker along his journey. He has made his own path by discovering audiences that others didn’t know existed and experimenting with style and content. There has never been another media personality in Cricket like Jarrod.
